PRODUCT MANAGER

The Product Manager (PM) is responsible in assisting the ABS Sales Team by providing product consultancy which consist of product update, internal technology update and positioning, pricing & licensing in order to enable the sales team to close a business deal or create a new business opportunity. The PM is responsible to recruit new partner, retain and develop existing partners as well as develop strategies to reach out to market (end users) and assists in meeting product quota.

Job requirement

  • Responsible to achieve and grow products/solutions quota
  • Submit weekly/monthly forecasts to principals/vendors
  • Maintain and grow existing partners through monitoring and development of partner roadmap
  • Recruit new partners
  • Plan and drive programs and demand generation campaigns for target market segment/territories that contribute to ROI
  • Penetrate and position solutions to the mass market
  • Cold-calling and qualify new opportunities or leads from programs/campaigns
  • Work closely with Inside Sales to position the relevant message to the targeted market through demand generation campaigns to generate new pipelines
  • Work closely with sales team to penetrate and position solutions to named accounts/strategic accounts
  • Assist the sales team to create business opportunities which will enable them to close new deals
  • Assist the sales team to liaise with relevant vendors when proposing a solution to customer for tender or proposal submission
  • Ensure that renewals are maintained and followed-up on regular basis
  • Build and maintain good relationship with principals/vendors
  • Responsible to plan and present quarterly and yearly review on quota and business plan
  • Plan and manage internal sales, pre-sales and post-sales roadmaps through training and certification (if any) provided by principals/vendors
  • Share positioning of products and solutions and latest technology and updates to internal team on periodical basi

  • Product revenue quota and product GP (gross profit) quota
  • Partner recruitment target
  • Partner contribution target
  • Pipeline generation target / ROI from programs
  • Renewal target


Qualifications and experiences:

  • Diploma qualification and above, preferably in IT, Computer Science or other related field
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in product management or pre-sales support of computer hardware/software solutions or telecommunications software/hardware/services
  • Business development experience is an added advantage
  • Verifiable track record of product sales quota achievement
  • Ability to work in a team-selling environment including working closely with sales and pre-sales engineer in account development and application-requirements gathering
  • Experience working with channel partner environments
